Facebook Account Recovery

A disabled Facebook profile and a disabled Page go through different review paths, and a hacked account has a different recovery flow again. We start by working out which situation actually applies before preparing anything.

What a Facebook disable actually is

Personal profiles are most often disabled for Community Standards violations, suspected fake-name or impersonation issues, or as a consequence of an ad account or Business Manager action cascading onto the linked profile. Pages are disabled separately, usually for content violations or admin and ownership disputes.

A hacked account is a distinct case: the priority there is regaining access and securing the account, not appealing a policy decision.

Why profiles and Pages get disabled

Common causes include accumulated content strikes against Community Standards, a name or identity that does not match the profile information on file, Page role or ownership disputes, and action taken against a linked ad account or Business Manager that extends to the personal profile behind it.

Advertisers in particular are sometimes surprised that an ad account issue reached their personal profile — Meta links the two through Business Manager roles.

Diagnostic process

We review the strike and warning history on the account, check whether identity verification has been requested and what Meta will accept, and — for compromised accounts — review login and device activity to establish when and how access was lost. For Pages, we check admin roles, transparency information and any linked Business Manager or ad account history.

The appeal or recovery request is built to the specific violation or situation, not a general-purpose statement.

Independence and limitations

Policy Fix Experts is an independent consultancy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram or WhatsApp.

We cannot guarantee reinstatement and we never ask for your account password — anyone who does is not a legitimate recovery service. Meta's own review process is the only path to a decision, and it is free to use directly.

Official process

Start with the platform's own free routes

Every platform reviews appeals for free through its own tools. We prepare the evidence; the decision is always theirs.

Before you act

What makes a recoverable case unrecoverable

These are the four things we most often have to undo before we can start.

  1. 01

Creating a new profile while the original is still pending review, which can read as evasion and add to the problem.

  2. 02

Submitting an ID that does not match the name or details already on the account.

  3. 03

Tapping "request review" repeatedly with no new information between attempts.

  4. 04

Giving your password to a third party claiming they can "fix" the account from the inside — this is how accounts get taken over, not recovered.

How a case runs

Five stages, in sequence

Case review comes first, and if our read is that the account is not recoverable, that is what we tell you.

  1. 01

    Case review

You send the suspension notice and account details. We give you an initial read on what is actually being enforced and whether the case is worth pursuing.

  2. 02

    Audit

A full examination of the account, the website, the creatives and the business documentation — including account history, not just the current state.

  3. 03

    Remediation

A specific corrective action plan. We either hand it to you to implement or implement it for you, depending on the engagement.

  4. 04

    Appeal

The appeal is drafted around the actual violation and submitted with supporting evidence — not a template, and not a resubmission of what was already rejected.

  5. 05

    Stay compliant

Reinstatement is not the end of it. You get a post-reinstatement compliance checklist, with optional ongoing monitoring.

Questions

Asked on almost every case

Can you guarantee my Facebook account will be restored?
No. Meta makes the final decision on every review. We give you an honest assessment of the odds at case review, not a promise.
Are you affiliated with Facebook or Meta?
No. Policy Fix Experts is an independent consultancy with no affiliation to Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram or WhatsApp.
My account was hacked, not disabled by Meta — can you still help?
Yes, but it is a different process: regaining access and securing the account comes first, before anything resembling a policy appeal.
Does Meta charge for an appeal or review?
No. Reviews are free to request directly through Facebook's Help Centre. Our fee covers the diagnosis and the evidence we prepare.
What do you need to start?
The disable message, your login email or phone number, an ID if one has been requested, and Page details if a Page is involved.
